Race-ready cockpit. The driver-focused Monoposto interior of the Audi R8 showcased a sweeping arch design, offering access to all vehicle controls. For ultimate driver engagement, a gated six-speed manual transmission was also available.

The V10. Now unveiled. In 2010, Audi introduced the R8 with the 5.2L FSI V10 engine producing an impressive 525 HP and an 8,700 RPM redline; this potent engine was mid-mounted for optimal weight distribution.

Cutting-edge lighting. In line with its innovative design, the headlights of the Audi R8 provided a 24-LED DRL signature as a nod to their victories in the 24h of Le Mans. The Audi R8 also offered the industry’s first all-LED headlights, making a bold statement as it graced the roads.

Capturing all the angles. The 2nd generation Audi R8 was unveiled in 2015 and went on sale in the US in 2016 with a more angular design and an innovative carbon multi-material structure. Its revised V10 engine was paired with a quick-shifting, S tronic® dual-clutch transmission and new, multi-plate clutch quattro® system—providing next-level handling and performance. With a maximum power output of more than 600 HP, the Audi R8 redefined the thrill of driving.

Laser-focused. Continuing to trailblaze in the lighting field, the 2nd-generation Audi R8 introduced the Audi laser light, recognizable by its distinctive anodized blue blade within the headlight housings. Debuting on the 2017 R8 V10 plus exclusive edition, this model was limited to 25 units only produced for the US market. It was characterized by its Audi exclusive Quantum Gray paint and Solar Orange sideblade accents, alongside a full Audi exclusive interior.

Rear-wheel series. The Audi R8 RWS marked the debut of rear-wheel drive to the R8 family. As it was 110 lbs lighter than its quattro stablemate, it became the closest link to the GT4 race car. With a track top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph), the 320 units (a nod to its top speed) of this R8 are highly coveted amongst car enthusiasts.

A decade of the V10. The Audi R8 Decennium Edition showcased mesmerizing, matte bronze intake manifolds under its glass engine cover—complemented by elegant, matte bronze wheels and copper interior stitching. Limited to just 50 units for the US, the Decennium Edition celebrated 10 years since the introduction of the legendary V10.
